On 11 June 2014, the former Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning exercised his ministerial call in powers and called in the development application for the Mount Emerald Wind Farm at Arriga (Mareeba Shire Council). On 11 June 2014, the applicant was given an information request (PDF icon 263 KB) to assist the Minister in his assessment of the application.

On 10 September 2014, the applicant provided a response to the information request as follows:
