The Clinton Priority Development Area (PDA) was declared on 1 April 2010. It is a 26 hectare site approximately six kilometres south-west of the Gladstone CBD. It is bounded by the Dawson Highway to the north and west, Harvey Road to the east and established residences along Keppel Avenue to the south.
The Clinton PDA is being developed to assist in meeting the housing pressures resulting from the resource sector growth by bringing surplus government land to the market.
While the Clinton State School lies within the boundaries of the PDA, there will be no significant impact on the school site or its activities.
Note: In February 2013, the Urban Land Development Act 2007 (ULDA Act) was repealed and replaced with the Economic Development Act 2012 (ED Act). From then on, land areas identified for priority development were referred to as Priority Development Areas (PDAs), not Urban Development Areas (UDAs), and existing UDAs were transitioned to PDAs under the ED Act. Any reference to the term UDA on this website is taken to mean a transitioned UDA, which is now known as a PDA.
