MyDAS and MyDAS2
MyDAS (My Development Assessment System) is an online system that allows applicants to prepare and lodge (or refer) particular applications to the department, as the State Assessment and Referral Agency (SARA), where the State is the assessment manager or a referral agency for a development application.
On 3 July 2017, the Department launched MyDAS2—the new online system for the preparation and assessment of applications under the Planning Act 2016.
MyDAS was originally introduced in July 2013 and supports the preparation and assessment of applications under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.
Both MyDAS and MyDAS2 are currently available to applicants wishing to prepare or progress applications. Deciding which system you should use depends on whether your application is being assessed under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 or the Planning Act 2016.
MyDAS and MyDAS2 allows:
- online lodgement of development applications
- tracking through development assessment
- integration with the DA mapping system
- electronic payment of fees.
Access your applications under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 using MyDAS.
Prepare or track your applications under the Planning Act 2016 using MyDAS2.
IMPORTANT: You cannot use MyDAS or MyDAS2 to lodge a development application directly with a local government assessment manager. You will need to give your application to the relevant local government by other means.

eDA was an online service used by specific councils to support the preparation, lodgement and processing of development applications. It is no longer available for preparing applications.
