The aim of the Severe Tropical Cyclone Marcia Recovery Plan (PDF icon 1.2 MB) is to guide the activities which will help ensure that impacted communities in Central Queensland recover as quickly as possible from the devastating and widespread effects of this natural disaster when it struck in February 2015.

The Queensland Strategy for Disaster Resilience (PDF icon 901 KB - this PDF publication was produced prior to the current government) provides strategic direction to achieve the State Government's vision to make Queensland the most disaster resilient state in Australia. It defines disaster resilience at both the state level and within the functional areas of disaster management and aims to build resilience against all hazards such as floods, bushfires, cyclones, severe storms, storm surges, landslips, tsunamis, earthquakes, oil spills, droughts and extreme heat events.

The Severe Tropical Cyclone Ita Recovery Plan (PDF icon 1 MB) provides strategic guidance for the coordination and management of recovery, reconstruction and community resilience activities undertaken by the Queensland Government, local governments, non-government partners, industry and not-for-profit organisations after the flood and damage impacts of Severe Tropical Cyclone Ita.
